Welcome to the new Axle Studios

Posted on by Alex Chan

We’re excited to bring you a new platform where we can easily share our latest works with you. This new system will allow us to showcase all our creative material from the past, present and future. We’ve recently expanded the Axle Studios family by introducing our new photography and web design departments.

Less Flash Dependence

In the previous years since we’ve started, our site was primarily powered by Flash. It’s a great platform for portfolios and delivering stunning visual effects on the web. However its major drawbacks is its usability and maintainability. Now with the increasing popularity of the upcoming HTML 5 and the advancements of Javascript, flash’s days seem to be numbered, and that is why we’re making the switch.

For the past year, we’ve been using WordPress to power our photo blogs for our photography team and have been impressed by its incredible ease of use. Hence we have decided to make a transition to employ this new terrifically solid platform.

In the coming weeks our goal is to create a new user experience in the Axle Studios domain, and we hope that you will enjoy it.
